Born 31 July 1926 in Duddenhausen, Germany, Paetzold served with 15. Regiment of the 8th SS Volunteer Cavalry Division Florian Geyer. His last known whereabouts were in Budapest during the Red Army siege, approximated to New Years Day of 1945. The request for information was filed by his father, Richard Paetzold of Hannover.
