(Luftschutz-Ehrenzeichen II. Klasse mit Etui). Instituted 30 January 1938. (1938-1945). Constructed of aluminum, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised central mobile swastika, circumscribed by an inscription of “FÜR VERDIENSTE IM LUFTSCHUTZ” (“FOR MERIT IN AIR PROTECTION”), the reverse bearing a raised central date of “1938”, unmarked, measuring 38.74 mm (w) x 43.86 mm (h), weighing 11.0 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of grey card stock, the lid bearing an inscription of “LUFTSCHUTZ-EHRENZEICHEN 2. STUFE” (“AIR PROTECTION HONOUR DECORATION 2ND CLASS”), measuring 45 mm (w) x 98 mm (l) x 18 mm (h), some material fatigue is evident to the case, in overall near extremely fine condition.
