Germany, DRK. A Red Cross Honour Badge Breast Star, by Gebrüder Godet & Co.

(Ehrenzeichen des Deutschen Roten Kreuzes, Stern des Ehrenzeichen). Instituted 30 January 1934. (1934-1937). Constructed of silver with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a four-pointed radiant star, overlaid by a white enameled Geneva Cross with a gilt frame, bearing a central black enameled DRK-style German national eagle with feathering highlighted in gilt, the reverse with a barrel hinge and tapering vertical pinback meeting a rounded catch, unmarked but with the physical characteristics of manufacture by Gebrüder Godet & Co., Berlin, measuring 82.90 mm (w) x 83.89 mm (h), weighing 78.4 grams, with some tarnishing of the silver and flecking of the enamels evident, in overall near extremely fine condition.
