Germany, Luftwaffe. An Officer’s Brocade and Buckle, Second Pattern

(Luftwaffe Feldbinde und Schnalle für Offiziere). A Luftwaffe Officer’s brocade and buckle, the former constructed of a dark grey wool base, the obverse bearing a silver aluminum wire tresse bisected by a central red threaded band, flanked on each side by a dark grey threaded band interspersed with silver aluminum wire, wrapped with two sliding bands of identical construction, the reverse with six zink-reinforced eyelets for an adjustable fit, unmarked, measuring 45 mm (w) x 860 mm (l), in extremely fine condition; the latter constructed of partially-gilded aluminum, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, with a central gilt Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika on a pebbled background, the reverse with a clip and loop connecting to the belt, unmarked, measuring 56 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
