An Iron Cross 1914 First Class (Eisernes Kreuz 1914 1. Klasse); An outstanding example of a wartime production cloth version Iron Cross; in extremely detailed embroidery consisting of a vertically ribbed black “core” with a “W” embroidered into the centre, and with a “1914” on the lower arm, and the royal crown on the upper arm, with a twisted silver wire on both sides of the grey “frame” of the cross; on a grey wool backer; black cotton backer; slightly curved; measuring 51 mm x 51 mm; better than very fine condition.
