(Einheitsfeldmütze M43 für Jägertruppe). An extremely well-preserved Heer Jäger EM/NCO’s M43 cap, constructed of field-grey wool twill. The cap is fully surrounded by fold-down side panels, offering optional ear and neck protection to the wearer, which, when not in use, are rolled up and secured together with two pebbled magnetic metal buttons on the right flap meeting an equal number of reinforced buttonholes on the left flap. Pinned onto the left side of the flap is a silvered zink insignia consisting of three oak leaves with a single acorn. Measuring 50 mm (w) x 35 mm (h), it retains all three of its reverse attachment prongs. Stitched onto the peak is an insignia consisting of a field-grey trapezoid, bearing a machine-embroidered silver-grey Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, above a tri-colour cockade. The insignia measures 60 mm (w) x 48 mm (h). The exterior features are completed by a protruding cardboard-reinforced visor, fully lined with field-grey wool. A light grey cotton-blended liner fully encompasses the interior, which presents plain and without any markings. The cap measures approximately 185 mm (w) x 270 mm (l) x 120 mm (h). It demonstrates only minor, age-appropriate issues, including some material fatigue to the wool, soiling of the interior liner, and a central crack to the cardboard visor reinforcement. The cap is in an overall near extremely fine condition.
