(Roter Adler-Orden Kreuz 4. Klasse). Instituted on 12 June 1792. Type IV Model Long Wings Type. (1855-1918). A silver cross pattée with smooth arms, the obverse centre presents a white enamelled medallion depicting a Brandenburg crowned eagle, the reverse centre engraved with a crowned cipher of King Friedrich Wilhelm III, marked Z on centre medallion rim between the six and nine o’clock arms, measuring 38.56 mm (w) x 42.34 mm (h), on loop for suspension from period original ribbon, and in near extremely fine condition.
