In browning copper, voided, maker marked "GEO. E. LEES & Co 1916" on the reverse, measuring 44.8 mm (w) x 43.5 mm (h), both lugs intact, very light contact, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The Battalion was raised in St. Catharines, Ontario with mobilization headquarters at Toronto under the authority of G.O. 69, July 15, 1916. The Battalion sailed January 21, 1917 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel B.J. McCormick with a strength of 463 officers and men. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 4th Reserve Battalion. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
