Germany, HJ. An EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle, by Friedrich Linden

(HJ Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of a silvered zink alloy, the obverse bearing a raised central HJ-style German national eagle clutching a HJ insignia, within a ribbed ring bearing a raised inscription of “BLUT UND EHRE” (“BLOOD AND HONOUR”), the reverse with a loop and dual attachment prongs, marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and code “M4/24” for Friedrich Linden, Lüdenscheid, measuring 60 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), most of the finish has been lost and some oxidation is evident throughout, in overall very fine condition.
