Constructed of gilded and silvered zink, obverse depicts central viking longship sailing over map of the northern hemisphere, within an oval-shaped oak leaf wreath, topped with German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, reverse plain with block hinge and wide banjo-style pinback meeting round wire catch, marked L/21 on pin for Förster & Barth, Pforzheim, with adhesive residue on catch, remains near very fine.
A General Assault Badge (Allgemeines-Sturmabzeichen). Constructed silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, with loss of silver finish, fine.
Germany, Wehrmacht. A Wound Badge, Black Grade (Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz). Constructed of blackened magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on topped of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, poor.
