Ordinul Casei Domnitoare. Instituted in 1935. Hardshelled, wooden frame, teal blue patterned paper covering on the exterior, trimmed with an ornate design in gold-coloured ink on the lid and the sides of the case, maker marked "Frederico Costa Condecorações 110 RUA S. JULIAO LISBOA" on the white stain lined inside lid, black velvet raised platform with a slotted medal bed for the Breast Star, dual hinged, single latch closure, wear along with peeling and light soiling evident on the teal paper covering on the exterior, measuring 137 mm in width x 283 mm in length x 37.5 mm in height. Very fine.

Footnote: The Order of the Ruling House was instituted on December 16, 1935 and issued on eight grades: Collar, Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer, Knight with Oak Wreath, Knight with Crown, and Knight, plus Gold and Silver Cross of Merit and Medals.
