A mid-war example of a Luftwaffe Silver Grade Squadron Clasp for Short Range Day Fighters “Frontflugspange für Jäger”; in silvered zink; the obverse with a central upward-pointing winged arrow and a swastika on the bottom of the wreath, with nine laurel leaves on either side of the wreath; horizontal tapered pin with a sheet metal hinge and a slightly rounded catch; measuring 76.86 mm x 25.80 mm; weighing 15.2 grams; moderately bent; with approximately 90% of the original silvering intact; in overall better than very fine condition.
