Silver with red and blue enamelled Chilean shield, mounted to a five-pointed silver star base, the points of the star with ball finials, measuring 47 mm (w) x 44.7 mm (h), the badge suspended from its 57.5 mm (w) x 23.5 mm (h) silver condor suspension, chipping evident in both the red and blue enamels on the shield, glue residue on the reverse of its original shortened ribbon from previous board mounting, very fine.
Footnote: The Star of Military Merit for Long Service was instituted by the government of Chile circa 1935, to reward Armed, Naval, and Aeronautical forces for length of services with an exemplary conduct. Currently, It is awarded to Chilean military personnel. This star was awarded for twenty years' service.
