What's a max bid?

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

1. Greetings Card: inscribed "with Greetings of the Season from the President and Madame Chiang", printed in red and black inks, with embossed border and insignia on the obverse, plain reverse, measuring 153 mm (w) x 102 mm (h), soiled.

2. Addressed Envelope for the Aforementioned "Greetings" Card: front panel typewriter set in blue ink "Capt. and Mrs. H. N. Coffin", with insignia printed in red ink on the back panel flap, measuring 163 mm (w) x 110 mm (h), soiled.

3. Chiang Kai-Shek Photograph: in black and white, gloss finish, photograph seal inscribed "WASC" at the lower left, on a white photo paper stock, measuring 101 mm (w) x 140 mm (h).

4. two Shanghai Postcards: in black and white, gloss finish, both are photographer marked "Burr", one entitled "Foreign Bund, Shanghai (123) Showing North-China Building, Chartered Bank, Palace Hotel, Yokohama Specie Bank", the other entitled "103. Nanking Rd. Shanghai", both with handwritten inscriptions in black ink and dated "1932" on their postcard-style reverses, on a white card paper stock, measuring 138 mm (w) x 88 mm (h) each.

5. Photo Envelope: printed in red ink, on a thin kraft paper stock, measuring 108 mm (w) x 148 mm (h), with a large tear along with edge wear on the front panel.

6. "The Great Shanghai Badge Co." Envelope: printed in red ink, on a white paper stock, measuring 68 mm (w) x 46 mm (h).
