What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Includes:
1. Defence Badge: in die-stamped aluminum in the shape of a shield, ground found, obverse with the Ustasha insignia in the centre, inscribed "1941-1943" above and "OBRANA" below, all within a traditional intricate Croatian border, reverse number stamped "1316", measuring 43.5 mm (w) x 56.7 mm (h), missing its vertical pinback attachment.

2. Officer's Cap Badge: in die-stamped aluminum with red and blue paint, measuring 21.5 mm in diameter, one of two prongs intact, the other having been lost to time.

3. three Collar Badges: in die-stamped aluminum, measuring approximately 20.5 mm (w) x 30 mm (h) each, all three with three die-holes for uniform attachment, two experiencing undulation. Ranging from fair for fine.

 

Footnote: The Ustasha Defence Badge was worn by members of the Defence units, whose primary role was security and policing of Prisoner of War and Labour Camps. The units were under the command of Eugen Dido Kvaternik initially, with Maks Luburic taking command in 1942.
