(Orden Carlos Manuel de Cespedes). Instituted on 18 April 1926. A circular badge constructed of silver, the obverse centre presenting the full-face portrait of Carlos Manuel de Cespedes within a blue enamelled ring inscribed CARLOS MANUEL DE CESPEDES 1868, encircled by a silver laurel wreath projecting silver oak leaves onto a blue enamel ring, surrounded by a green and red enameled laurel and oak leaf wreath, the reverse centre presents the Cuban coat of arms over a field of white enamel, surrounded by a silver laurel wreath projecting silver oak leaves onto a blue enamel ring, measuring 49.86 mm (w) x 61.81 mm (h - inclusive of laterally-pierced ball suspension), weighing 55.9 grams, and in extremely fine condition. Accompanied by the breast star in gilded silver, the obverse centre presenting the full-face portrait of Carlos Manuel de Cespedes within a blue enamelled ring inscribed CARLOS MANUEL DE CESPEDES 1868, encircled by a silver laurel wreath projecting silver oak leaves onto a multi-faceted star, the reverse presents a missing central cartouche, presenting a principal vertical pin assembly, measuring 84.74 mm (w) x 83.31 mm (h), weighing 85.5 grams, and in very fine condition. Accompanied by a miniature badge with ribbon.
