Czechoslovakia, Socialist Republic. A Pair of Svazarm Merit Badges
A pair of Svazarm Merit Badges, including a III Class badge, constructed of bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a semi-oval shaped wreath, topped by a raised and enameled Svazarm coat of arms, the bottom with crossed rifles topped by an enameled parachute, with a central blue enameled field bearing a plan and motorcycle with a rider, topped by a red enameled banner bearing a silver inscription of “ZA OBĚTAVOU PRÁCI” (“FOR DEDICATED WORK”), the reverse with a vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, stamped with issue number “2674”, measuring 39.14 mm (w) x 54.90 mm (h), some loss of finish evident, in overall better than very fine condition, and; a II Class badge, constructed of silvered bronze, both the obverse and reverse of identical appearance, stamped with issue number “6446”, measuring 39.29 mm (w) x 54.90 mm (h), minor loss of finish evident, in overall near extremely fine condition.
