What's a max bid?

(Den Kongelige Belønningsmedalje i Sølv). Instituted in 1865. Type III (Christian X, 1912-1947).A Royal Medal of Recompense of Iceland, in silver, type III with the bust of King Christian X and engraver marked "LINDAHL" on the obverse, reverse un-named, measuring 27.2 mm (w) x 30.3 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, very light contact, on an original but incorrect five-sided folded ribbon with pinback, near extremely fine. Very rare, only 50 struck.

 

Footnote: The Royal Medal of Recompense was instituted on September 4, 1865 and is awarded as the reigning monarch sees fit. In comes in two grades, Gold and Silver; with five different period types: Type I (King Christian IX, 1863-1906), Type II (King Frederick VIII, 1906-1912), Type III (King Christian X, 1912-1947), King Frederick IX (1947-1972) and Queen Margrethe II (1972-Date).
