Jewellery. An Antique Yellow Gold & Jade Brooch, c.1900

(Jewellery, Brooches). Antique. Ladies. A bar brooch with a long, round tube of jade, ending in capped, 14kt yellow gold finials. The finials are engraved with floral designs and stamped on the ends with “18”, “WN” and Asian characters. The back of the finials bear a horizontal pin with a round wire C-catch. One finial also bears a loop with a safety chain with safety pin attached, for additional security. The jade center measures approximately 48.0x6.3mm., semi-translucent, medium tone of light to dark green colour, good cut. Measuring 55.35mm (l) x 6.92mm (diameter) and weighing 7.3 grams. In extremely fine condition.

This item is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from Gem Grade Appraisal Service. Gem Grade is a renowned Toronto based appraisal service, with GIA graduate gemologist, in business for over 20 years. The appraisal states a $1,100 CAD suggested insurance coverage.

The estimated value of this item is $330 - $440 USD.
