What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

A lot of six badges, including a 1922 Estonian Census Badge, constructed of silver-plated brass, the obverse features two unclothed figurative children holding a shield containing the coat of arms, at the centre is the date 1922 surrounded by two cornucopias, on the left is the number 28 for the date and to the right the Roman numeral XII for the month, the bottom bears the text ULDRAHVA LUGEMINE (THE READING OF ALL THE PEOPLE), the reverse plain, maker marked PARIS ART, PARIS, measuring 27.25 mm (w) x 40.37 mm (h), and in very fine condition. A Medal for Diligence of the Fire Service (Tuletõrje Hoolsusmärgid, Hõbemedal), a circular silver medal, the obverse presents a fireman’s helmet with two crossed axes in the centre, encircled by a wreath of laurel leaves tied below by a bow, the reverse presents the inscription TEENETE EEST (FOR DISTINGUISHED SERVICE), loop is hallmarked 875 and with a lion, as well as stamped with the maker mark RT for Roman Tavast of Tallinn, measuring 27.77 mm in diameter, and in very fine condition. An Estonian Song Festival in Sweden 1948 stickpin, measuring 20.05 mm (w) x 30.35 mm (h), on a 47.26 mm long stick pin, and in very fine condition. Three Volunteer Fire Fighting medallions, one measuring 28.09 mm in diameter, one measuring 24.08 mm (w) x 31.75 mm (h), and one measuring 24.11 mm (w) x 32.54 mm (h), all in good conditions.
