A miniature chain, comprising six miniature decorations. The silver gilt chain itself presents a unique pattern of clusters of nine beads, each connected by horizontally shaped loops, totalling 19 clusters altogether. Numerous links at the end, the clasp piece presents a disc with a beaded star pattern in the middle connected to the chain by a small perpendicular bar, the reverse bears a singular hook. The chain in its entirety measures 220mm in length, weighs 18.6 grams and is in extremely fine condition.
1. An Austrian Order of Leopold, in Gold, featuring a red and white enamelled cross with central medallion inscription FIA surrounded by a white ring inscribed INTEGRITATI ET MERITO, the reverse medallion bears the inscription OPES REGUM CORDA SUBD surrounded by a gilt wreath, surmounted by a large crown with a war decoration of green enamelled wreath, marked with a partial gold hallmark denoting Viennese manufacture and a VMS mark denoting manufacture from Vincent Mayer’s Sohne, measures 16.4mm (w) x 30.9mm (h – inclusive of cross adorned crown suspension), enamels intact, in very fine condition.
2. An Austrian Order of the Iron Crown in Gold, presenting a double headed eagle with green enamelled crown standing on a Lombardy crown with green, red and white enamelled details, the obverse medallion presents a capital F on a blue enamelled shield, the reverse shows the year 1815, the ring is marked VM denoting Vincent Mayer and with an Austrian Gold hallmark denoting manufacture between 1872-1922 in Vienna, measures 11.8mm (w) x 24.5mm (h), minor contact, in extremely fine condition.
3. An Austrian War Medal 1873, in Bronze gilt, the obverse with a right facing profile of Franz Joseph, the reverse with the date 2 DECEMBER 1873, measures 15.9mm (w) x 18.5mm (h- inclusive of integral ring), in very fine condition.
4. An Austrian Military Merit Medal, in Bronze gilt, obverse featuring a profile of Franz Joseph, the reverse inscribed SIGNVM LAVDIS, surmounted by a large crown suspension, measures 15.5mm (w) x 24.8mm (h – inclusive of cross adorned crown suspension), light contact, in very fine condition.
5. An Austrian Order of the German Knight Marian Cross, in silver, featuring a white and black enamelled cross, the obverse presenting a red enamelled cross on a white enamelled field surrounded by a blue enamelled ring inscribed ORDO TEUT HUMANITATI, the reverse medallion presents the year 1871, measures 15.5mm (w) x 19.7mm (h), enamels intact, in extremely fine condition.
6. A Prussian Order of the Red Eagle, in Bronze gilt, a white enamelled cross pattee with a handpainted red eagle in the obverse medallion, the reverse features the crowned FW cypher, surmounted by an enamelled bow denoting female issued, measures 16.4mm(w) x 22.5mm (h – inclusive of bow suspension and integral ring), very minor enamel flake to edge of reverse 3 o’clock arm, in extremely fine condition.
Contained in original box, marked Robert Wolf Juwelier Badischl, Wein on the obverse, wear due to age, does not close securely, in very fine condition.
