A lot of five rare wartime photos of flying boats, including one depicting a Lohner aircraft near shore and being service by a crew, the reverse in postcard format and with marks indicating it was taken near Pola (now Pula, Croatia), measuring 132 mm (w) x 82 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition; a second photo depicting a Lohner aircraft being towed through a body of water, the reverse in postcard format, unmarked, measuring 140 mm (w) x 90 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition; one depicting a flying boat being hoisted from water by a crane, the reverse in postcard format, measuring 138 mm (w) x 88 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition; one depicting a flying boat being towed by Tb-98 M Class torpedo boat “100M”, the reverse in postcard format and within a handwritten inscription indicating the photo was taken on 11 August 1916, measuring 138 mm (w) x 88 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition, and; one depicting a flying boat in water, pasted to a card stock backer bearing a handwritten reverse inscription, measuring 120 mm (w) x 90 mm (h), in very fine condition.
