(Statuten für den Oesterreichisch-Kaiserlichen-Orden der eisernen Krone). This is an extremely well-preserved volume of statutes of the Austrian Order of the Iron Crown. The book is constructed of a heavy card stock shell with a faux blue leather lining, with the cover bearing a gold embossed inscription of “STATUTEN FÜR DEN OESTERREICHISCH-KAISERLICHEN-ORDEN DER EISERNEN KRONE” (“STATUTE FOR THE IMPERIAL AUSTRIAN ORDER OF THE IRON CROWN”) in Fraktur script. The book features 37 heavy paper stock pages with descriptions of the order and its provisions, with the first half in German and the second half repeated in Italian. This is followed by seven pictures depicting etched decorations of the order, as well as models demonstrating the appropriate wear of its decorations on uniforms. While no publisher information is specified, the book concludes with a date of “20 September 1884”. With the exception of minor age-appropriate material fatigue the book is in extremely fine condition.
