Footnote: Following the Italian declaration of war in May, 1915, the 10th Army was stationed along the southern border of Karinthia (Kärnten - Austria) along the Alps. It remained there until 1917, where it saw action at the Battle of Caporetto (October - November 1917). The 10th Army is also known for their involvement at the Battle of the Piave River (June 1918), and the Battle of Vittorio Veneto (October - November 1918). It lost the latter and surrendered to the Italian Army on November 2nd, 1918.
