Austria, Empire. An Honour Decoration of the Red Cross, II Class Cross with War Decoration
(Ehrenzeichen vom Roten Kreuz). Instituted in 1923. Six-piece construction, the left side of the integral suspension Austrian hallmarked with a Diana's head (Dianakopf) (which was used between 1872 and 1922), the head flanked by a "2" on the left and an "A" (Vienna) on the right, also marked with an "A" (Vienna) on the right side of the integral suspension, measuring 37 mm (w) x 48.2 mm (h) inclusive of its integral suspension, fine chipping evident in the red enamels on the arm at 12 o'clock on the reverse, original bow-tied ribbon with safety pin attachment, near extremely fine.
