Institution Date: August 14, 1914. Multi piece construction in silver with red, white and green enamels with a red cross emblem in the center, reverse bearing “1864-1914” on centerpiece, on period ribbon, measuring at 36.7mm (w) x 47.9 (h) and weighing at 22.8 grams; accompanied by boutonniere with laurel pin, in original case of issue by G.A Scheid, Wein and bearing Latin “Patriae ac Humanitati, 1864-1914 K.D” on exterior.
