Austria, Imperial. A Jubilee Medal for Foreigners, in Silver
Instituted December 2, 1908, by Emperor Franz Joseph I. In silver, the obverse presents a profile of Franz Joseph I surrounded by the inscription FRANC. IOS.I.D.G.IMP.AVSTR.REX BOH.GAL.ILL.ETC ET AP.REX HVNG, the reverse presents the inscription IN MEMORIAM SEXAGESIMI ANNI IMPERII FELICITER PERACTI 1848-1908, surrounded by a laurel and oak leaf wreath, marked A on rim denoting Viennese manufacture, measures 38.2mm (w) x 43.8mm (h – inclusive of integral ring), weighs 34.4 grams (including ribbon), worn on original triangular ribbon, lovely patina, minor contact, in extremely fine condition.
