A bronze, circular medal, the obverse shows the bust of the Archduke wearing the Order of German Knights garments, the numbers “18” and “94” on either side of the bust, the inscription “EVGENIVS D.G.ARCH.AVST.ORD.TEVT.SVRP.MAG.” surrounds the bust, the reverse presents the Archduke’s coat of arms, adorned by a helmet and the chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece and the inscription “IVSTE ET FIRMITER,” surrounding this is the inscription “INTHR.19.NOVEMBRIS 1894 PROF.11.IANVARII 1887,” measures 41.29 mm in diameter, attached to a triangular black ribbon, and in extremely fine condition.
Footnote: This medal is associated with the enthronement of Archduke Eugen and handed out to members of the Order of German Knights. The Archduke Eugen of Habsburg was the last Grand Master of the Teutonic Knights, commonly the Teutonic Order, from the Habsburg dynasty.

Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps.
