What's a max bid?

Austo-Hungarian, Empire. A Teutonic Order Badge in Gold, c. 1830

Instituted 1188. A superbly manufactured award featuring an 18k Gold Maltese cross with white enamel arms with an interior red enamel cross pattee, gold detail lines meet at the knee of each arm to the top corner of the pattee arms creating separate triangles in the arm, reverse mirrors the obverse, surmounted by a flora suspension and royal crown demonstrating a band of red and green enamel jewels, the obverse depicting central four main arch peaks with textured fields, with ornate swirl designs on the cap, a blue enamel monde topped by a red enamel cross in the center, the interior edges of the center are white enamelled with small black enamel details, the reverse shows two arches along the band, providing clear visibility to the monde and cross, the top arches present a string of Gold pebbles connecting to an internal suspension ring, the double barrelled suspension is finely engraved on the interior “F. THO. G. CORBETT”, measures 61.96mm (w) x 94.28mm (h), weighs 27.5 grams, enamel wear to the band of the crown, enamel in the cross presents slight staining on the obverse 12 o’clock arm and a few hairline cracks on both the obverse and reverse, band on the reverse of the crown is minorly bent, overall near extremely fine condition.
