(Franz Joseph Orden). Instituted in 1849. Second Period (1914-1918) . In Gold with red, white and black enamels, weighing 23.9 grams, maker marked "VM" (Vincent Mayer's Söhne), gold hallmarked on ring, measuring 37.2 mm (w) x 69.5 mm (h- inclusive of its crown suspension), small chip evident in the black enamels at the tip of the tail on the reverse, replacement full-length sash, near extremely fine.
