Austria, Imperial. An Order of the Iron Crown, III Class (Collectors Copy)
(Orden der Eisernen Krone III. Klasse). Instituted on 7 April 1815 by Emperor Franz I. Post 1945 Manufactured Collectors Copy. In bronze gilt, a typical two headed eagle with enameled blue shield on its chest, depicting the letter “F”, the eagle clutching an orb and sword in its talons, reverse of the eagle with a second shield, dated “1815” within a bed of blue enamel, suspended by an Austrian crown partially enameled, on the base an Iron Crown with multi colors enamels, measuring 28.18 mm (w) x 58.10 mm (h), suspended by a loop suspension on a period wartime triangular ribbon, missing enameling on loop, also missing a lesser war decoration as evident from two remaining holes on order body, presenting heavily oxidized surfaces, fair.
