In silver gilt and enamels, 31mm x (62mm including wreath suspension), marked on suspension arch FR (Rothe, Wien), along with Imperial Austrian silver hallmark; with Grand Cross miniature Star with KD mounted on a ribbon, in silver gilt and enamels, measuring 20x20mm, an official issue with bolt and oval backing plate. Knight's cross is of circa 1915 manufacture, without enamel chipping; while miniature star circa 1914-17 period manufacture, with very slight enamel flaking, overall in extremely fine condition.
