Austria, Imperial. An Order of Leopold, Knight Cross, with War Decoration (Collectors Copy)
"(Österreichisch-kaiserlicher Leopold-Orden). Instituted on 8 January 1808 by Franz I of Austria. Post-1945 Copy. A Knight Cross, constructed of gilded bronze with red and white enamels, the obverse centre presenting the initials F I A, circumscribed by INTEGRITATI ET MERITO (FOR INTEGRITY AND MERIT), reverse centre with motto of Leopold II OPES REGUM CORDA SUBDITORUM (THE POWER OF RULERS LIES IN THE HEARS OF THEIR SUBJECTS), within a golden wreath of oak leaves, adorned by a detailed Austrian crown in addition to green enamelled laurels, measures 31.45 mm (w) x 60.16 mm (h - inclusive of crown and horizontally pierced ball suspension), weighing 9.5 grams, presenting evidence of discolouration on sides of cross, and in overall near very fine condition. "
