A Belgian Oostvleteren Music Festival Award Table Medal, July 23, 1871 - Silver, engraver marked "CH. WIENER" on both sides, obverse illustrating the left-facing King Leopold II and flanked by the inscriptions "LEOPOLD II ROI" and "DES BELGES", reverse illustrating a coat-of-arms with two cherubs with music instruments, ribbon banner above inscribed "L'UNION FAIT LA FORCE", a circular disk between the cherubs inscribed "FESTIVAL D'OOSTVLETEREN 23 JUILLET 1871" and engraved "ÉLOIGNEMENT" below, 51 mm, edge nicks, bruised, light contact, near very fine.
