Dutch: Luchtcomponent, French: Composante air. Pilot Badge c. 1934-1948 (in gold-coloured bullion wire, in various textures, red embroidery in the void of the crown, black threading giving definition to the wings, on black felt, black paper backer, measuring 102 mm (w) x 44 mm (h)); Pilot Badge c. 1970s (in gold-coloured bullion wire, in various textures, the wings in gold-coloured sequins, red embroidery in the void of the crown and representing the lion's claws and tongue, red and green embroidery in the base of the crown, measuring 113 mm (w) x 48 mm (h)); and Flight Crew Wing c. 1970s (in gold-coloured bullion wire, in various textures, the wing in gold-coloured sequins, red embroidery in the void of the crown and representing the lion's claws and tongue, red and green embroidery in the base of the crown, measuring 83 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), slight discolouration in the bullion on the lion's hind legs). All three badges exhibit glue residue on the reverse from previous board mounting, near extremely fine.
