Instituted in 1891. Hardshelled design on both the lid and base, red dimpled exterior on all sides, the lid bearing the cypher of Tsar Boris III (Reign: 1918-1943) surmounted by the Imperial Crown and inscribed "ОРДЕНЪ / "ЗА ГРАЖДАНСКА ЗАСЛУГА" / IV. Cm. / СЪ КОРОНА" in gold-coloured ink, inside lid lined in white satin and padded, a white cardboard insert placed within the base and housing a black felt recessed medal bed, single clasp closure, very light soiling on the exterior, measuring 67 mm (w) x 130 mm (h) x 25.5 mm (d), very light soiling evident on the exterior, the interior particularly clean and without interruptions in the fabrics, near extremely fine.
