In silvered bronze, obverse illustrating an insignia bearing a left-facing standing Bulgarian lion surmounted by a star, the insignia within a circle and exhibiting three sets of five rays emanating from it, the dates "681, 1944, 1981" positioned between the three sets of rays, reverse illustrating an insignia bearing a left-facing standing Bulgarian lion flanked by the dates "681" on the left and "1981" on the right, the lion above a swirl, the insignia within a circle, inscribed "1300 ГОДИНИ БЪЛГАРИЯ" (1300 Years of Bulgaria) below, measuring 36.5 mm (w) x 37 mm (h), wreath suspension with its original ribbon and pinback, spotting, very light contact, better than very fine. In its black plastic case of issue, red felt lined inside lid and recessed medal bed, wear spot evident on the medal bed liner, case also better than very fine.
