1944 Huskin's Division Cazin Cigarette Case
1944 Huskin's Division Cazin Cigarette Case - Silver cigarette case, with '900' hallmark and with Austrian marks, thus of Austrian origin. With small gold center, engraved 'HUSKINA DIVIZIJA CAZIN 1944'. Husko Miljkovic formed Muslim volunteer police battalions in 1941 in western Bosnia and fought alongside Croatian/German units. In the late 1944 however he joined Tito's Partisan's, as 'The First Muslim Brigade'. Members of Huskin?s units wore a variety of insignia, with distinctive Moslem emphasis (half Moon, etc.). After 1945 of course Moslem insignia was replaced by the Communist one. Cigarette case is worn, shows age, in very good condition. Unique item.
