Croatia. A Rare Document grouping to Ivan Ožvanić, Croatian NCO, who Served in Russia and Later in Yugoslavia
a. An award certificate (Bescheinigung) for the East Medal 1941/42; awarded on 8.8.1942 (then as a member of 4. Gen.Komp.Kroat.Ausb.Brigade); at Stockerau, signed by Oberstleutnant (certificate is taped together, well worn);
b. award certificate for the Black Grade Wound Badge, awarded on 5.12.1942 (Grenagier, III./Kroat.Ers.Rgt. 369); signed by Major, and commanding Officer of the III./Kroat.Ers.Rgt. 369; folded and torn, fair condition; awarded most likely for wound suffered in combat in various villages along the Samara river, as they were approaching Stalingrad.
c. award certificate for the Silver Grade Wound Badge, awarded in Wien, 18.Okt. 1943 (O. Schtz. 4./ Kroat.Regt. 370); signed ink; folded and torn, fair condition; awarded most likely for wound suffered in combat in Bosnia, Zvornik region.
d. Croatian award certificate for small Silver A. Pavelić medal (As Corporal of the Croatian 369th Regiment), awarded for "very brave conduct in the battles on Eastern Front, especially on May 20, 1942, near village Seraifimovke" ; with fascimile signature of the Croatian Air Force Commander Navratil. Folded, in good condition.
This is well worn/used grouping of four award documents to Croatian NCO, who served on the Russian Froant, as a member of the 369th Croatian Infantry Regiment; and also in Yugoslavia, as a member of the 370th Croatian Grenadier Regiment. A rare set of award documents.
