Measuring 728x535mm, better than very fine condition with folding creases, light soiling, and a few minor holes where some of the folding lines meet. The document is made of thick white paper stock. It states that Emperor Franz Joseph I has awarded the Commander rank of the Franz Joseph Order to a privy councillor of the governance of the city of Trieste, Anton Krekich Edler von Treuland on the occasion of his retirement. It is dated to Vienna on July 16, 1898 and personally signed in black ink by Franz Joseph. In the lower right corner is a facsimile of the Chancellor of the Order, Joseph Alexander Freiherr von Helfert.
