Belonging to Artur Kirasic, Commander of the Zagreb?s Airport "Borongaj" during World War II period, 1941-1942. Artur Kirasić?s career started back in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, when he trained as a pilot; during 1920?s he joined as an Officer/pilot Air Force of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia (in 1933 at the air show in Zagreb he holds the rank of captain); after capitulation of Kingdom of Yugoslavia Kirasic joins Independent State of Croatia in 1941 and was appointed as a Commander of the Zagreb airport at Borongaj (main Croatian Air Force base during WWII). He remains in that capacity until the end when he was arrested and is placed in the POW camp. In 1946 Kirasic is freed, but he never again joins the Army, or fly an aircraft.
