Accompanied by its Miniature: two-piece construction, insignia in silver gilt with red enamels, mounted to a circular base in silver with white enamels, measuring 18 mm (w) x 20 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, on its original reinforced rectangular ribbon with pinback; and its Ribbon Bar: measuring 36 mm (w) x 13.5 mm (h), with a 14 mm in diameter award insignia affixed. In their hardshelled case of issue, marked on the lid with the Croatian coat-of-arms above the inscription "REPUBLIKA HRVATSKA", marked on the inside lid "RED HRVATSKOG PLETERA", recessed medal beds for the medal, the miniature and the ribbon bar, measuring 127 mm (w) x 166 mm (h) x 30.5 mm (h). Footnote: The Order of the Croatian Interlace or Order of the Early Croatian three-strand pattern is the seventeenth most important medal given by the Republic of Croatia. The order was founded on April 1, 1995. The medal is awarded for advancement of progress and reputation of Croatia and the welfare of its citizens. It is named after the Croatian Interlace, a traditional Croatian ornamental design, an interwoven series of branches used as a wall or barrier.
