Czechoslovakia. A Steel Helmet Camouflage Cover
A rare Czechoslovakian steel helmet cover, constructed of a heavy cotton blend died on both the obverse and reverse in a German Wehrmacht-style splinter pattern (Splittertarn) mottle, each side bearing seven integral loops for the insertion of vegetation for optional additional camouflage, the edge featuring an interior channel through which is looped a drawstring for secure attachment to a helmet, with construction indicating possible use on a Czechoslovakian M32/34 or later period steel helmet, unmarked, measuring 380 mm (w) x 210 mm (h), with sporadic fatigue and mothing evident, a rare cover in overall better than very fine condition.
