What's a max bid?

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

An extremely well-preserved 1936 edition of “Podkarpatská Rus” (“Carpathian Ruthenia”), constructed of a card stock binding with a canvas twill exterior liner and brown leather spine reinforcement, the interior featuring 329 pagintated pages of text supplemented by an index, featuring a detailed history of the people and culture of Carpathian Ruthenia, accompanied by graphs and black-and-white photographs protected by intact wax paper liners, edited by Dr. Jaroslav Zatloukal, measuring 245 mm (w) x 305 mm (h), with only slight material fatigue evident to the exterior, in extremely fine condition.
