What's a max bid?

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

2. Skiers Union Leader's Badge (two-piece construction, in silvered bronze with red, white, blue and yellow enamels, measuring 33 mm in diameter, screwback); 
3. Coat-of Arms Badge (in bronze with maroon paint, measuring 30.8 mm (w) x 40 mm (h) inclusive of  its integral suspension, suspended from a bronze gilt bar hanger via a red leather strap);  
4. Map Auditor's Badge (in silvered bronze with red, black, blue and green enamels, measuring 38.5 mm in diameter, horizontal pinback); 
5. Emergency Regiment 1 NB Patch (screen-printed in red and white ink, on red cotton, measuring 75 mm (w) x 96 mm (h));

9. Slovak Congress Badge 1959 (in bronze gilt with red, white, light blue and dark blue enamels, measuring 24.5 mm (w) x 35.5 mm (h), horizontal pinback); 
10. Transport Medic Badge (in bronze gilt with red and white enamels, measuring 39.2 mm (w) x 22.3 mm (h), horizontal pinback); 

11. two Czechoslovak Military Order for Liberty Ribbons (each with a 23 mm (w) x 20 mm (h) silvered crossed rifles clasp, measuring 31 mm (w) x 77 mm (h) and 32 mm (w) x 95 mm (h) respectively); 

12. Slovakia, I Republic: Cestár Badge (in bronze with multi-coloured enamels, lacquered finish, measuring 56 mm (w) x 73.5 mm (h) mounted to a brown leather fob);
