Czechoslovakia, Republic. An Order of the White Lion, III Class Commander
(Řád Bílého lva). Instituted December 7, 1922. In silver, a large repeating point red enamel cross with ball finials, silver gilt leaflets in each quadrant, the obverse medallion presents a superimposed silver rampant lion, reverse centre with motto PRAVDA VÍTĚZÍ (Truth Prevails), coat of arms of the former parts of Czechoslovakia on each arm (Bohemia, Moravia, Silesia, Slovakia and Carpathian Ruthenia), with hollow leaflet suspension with crossed palms, elongated triangular suspension for ribbon attachment with red enamel on the obverse, measures 59.6mm (w) x 84.2mm (h – inclusive of integral ball on leaflet suspension), weighs 68.9 grams (excluding ribbon), accompanied by original neck ribbon (missing ties at each end), dark patina on silver arms, enamels intact, in extremely fine condition.
