What's a max bid?

Czechoslovakia, Socialist Republic. A Unique Large Calibre Trench Art Brass Shell

An ornate large calibre Czechoslovakian Army trench art brass shell, with the exterior machine-filed and fitted with ribbing of various depth, culminating in a tapering upper quarter which transitions into an opening with a rim and hollow interior, the base bears a number of markings, including a manufacture date of “1955”, a Czechoslovakian Army acceptance code consisting of a number “55” flanked by crossed swords, a mark of “OTV” indicating approval by the Technical Inspector Office, and a maker’s mark of “AVM” for an unidentified factory, with the centre featuring a coin-style medallion bearing an inscription of “REPUBLIKA ČESKOSLOVENSKÁ” (“REPUBLIC OF CZECHOSLOVAKIA”) around a national coat of arms, measuring 98 mm (w) x 545 (h), a rare and striking example in extremely fine condition.
