What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

A 1930 T.G. Masaryk-Bralsky Railway Tunnel Medal

A 1930 T.G. Masaryk-Bralsky Railway Tunnel Medal - Silver, maker marked "K" and marked "987" (silver), weighing 25.3 grams, obverse illustrating the railway tunnel's entrance with the countryside above, backed by a cluster of linden leaves, mason's compasses and square below, surrounded by the inscription "STAVBA DRAHY HANDLOVA - HORNIA ŠTUBNA" on the outer ring and "PROVADEJI INZENYRI KRULIS, JACHYMEK, SCHWARZ A SPOL." on the inner ring, reverse illustrating crossed hammers fronting a bow-tied ribbon, with the inscription "NA PAMET PRORAZEMI BRALU TUNELEM T.G. MASARYKA V JUB. ROCE JEHO 80. NAROZENIN 1930" below, 40.2 mm, edge nicks, bruised, better than very fine. Footnote: Tomas Garrigue Masaryk (March 7, 1850 to September 14, 1937) was a Czechoslovak politician, socialist and philosopher, who was an eager advocate of Czechoslovak independence during the First World War. He became the founder and first President of Czechoslovakia. He originally wished to reform the Austro-Hungarian monarchy into a democratic federal state, but during the First World War, he began to favour the abolition of the monarchy and, with the help of the Allied Powers, eventually succeeded. The T.G. Masaryk-Bralsky Railway Tunnel was completed in 1930, the same year that Masaryk celebrated his eightieth birthday, as noted on the medal's reverse.
