Three Second War Czechoslovak Air Force Commemorative Badge
Czechoslovakia; Each badge has a 41 mm x 52 mm hand-painted ceramic disk, in multiple colours, encased in a die-stamped silver frame designed with laurel leaves, held in place by four prongs on the reverse. The first badge illustrates a Royal Air Force pilot badge above an arched banner inscribed "CZECHOSLOVAKIA", with a Czech pilot's badge below the banner; the second badge illustrates a Soviet fighter pilot's badge above an arched banner inscribed "ЧЕХОСЛОВАКИЯ" (Czechoslovakia in Russian), with a Czech pilot's badge below the banner; the third badge is inscribed "ČSR" (Československá Socialistická Republika = Czechoslovak Socialist Republic), with a Czech pilot's badge below the banner and backed by the Czechoslovak tri-colour flag. The ceramic disks are free of crazing and exhibit light soiling on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
