In Gold and silver with red enamels, the letters and crowned monogram on the cross, along with the pebbled framework on the cross in Gold, the cross base in silver with red enamels, maker marked "CI" on the reverse, measuring 61 mm (w) x 77.5 mm (h), dual prong pinback, intact enamels, contact marks on the reverse, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The Order of the Dannebrog was instituted on October 12, 1671 by King Christian V. It is awarded for special deeds or conspicuous service to Denmark, in six grades, plus a silver cross. It was renamed Cross of Honour of the Order of the Dannebrog (Dannebrogordenens Hæderstegn) in 1952.
